Where hail is an industry. North and central Texas run on convective storms: hail cores that strip a hundred thousand roofs in an afternoon, straight-line winds, tornado tracks, and a commercial property base that makes every event a large-loss event somewhere. The claims economy here moves at corporate velocity — carrier programs, TPA rules, and storm-chaser competition all colliding in the same market.
What this chapter is. The Metroplex Union is the Disaster Recovery Trades Council’s chapter for north and central Texas, anchored in Dallas. Its members are the roofers, restoration contractors, estimators, and claims professionals who work this market year-round — not the trucks that follow a storm in and vanish before the supplement is paid. Every member applied, signed the pledge, and was reviewed.
For property owners. After a hail or wind event, the knock on your door is not vetting. The directory is: search alliance members by trade and specialty, see credentials, and verify licenses independently. Local professionals with a standard behind them.
For professionals. If you compete against fly-by-night operators every storm season, membership is how you separate: verified standing in a national network, a portfolio page you control, and referrals routed through the alliance instead of door-to-door economics.
